Microsoft Windows XP Professional 5.1.26. Run by patpawlowski at 22:35:31.21 on Sat I can't see anything in the HJT log or running that appears out of the ordinary but something is obviously opening sites and redirecting my normal browsing. The results of my search at least appear to be legitimate but when I click on one of the results IE gets redirected and does not go to the page that google was pointing to.Ģ) There seems to be visible and invisible instances of IE being opened by some mystery process that I can't identify. Mostly I get redirected to some other unknown search page which I'm sure will guide me to some legitimate fixes for my issues ) Note that it does not redirect my google search. So I downloaded the free Avira and found at lead 39 infections that it cleared up.Įven after that I have found a few things that I have manually cleaned up.ġ) IE is being redirected especially when I click on the links in the results of a google search. Ultimately I cleaned up a few things via regedits and deleting some files but my normal AV (AVG) wasn't finding much and one of the things I cleaned off manually is know to jack up you AV. When I got back that evening there were a dozen or so visible instances of IE open and who knows what else going on with it. The next day I took my 2nd laptop to the client site and left the now comprimised one running in my hotel room. I clicked OK and assumed whatever it was got blocked. Not a big deal, happens once a month or so. I was using it at the hotel one night, hit a web site, and my AV poped up a warning. Some people have mentioned ensuring that 'crystalreportviewers115' folder is added to my '\Update - OK, so obviously I hadn't checked well enough that the images were in the correct location.Somehow my machine got comprimised while I was working out of town. I have also intalled/run the 'CRRedist2008_x86.msi' on the web server. Gave 'full control' to every user just to test it. I have checked the permissions on the above mentioned folder on the web server. (C:/Inetpub/wwwroot/aspnet_client/system_web/2_0_50727/CrystalReportWebFormViewer4/images/toolbar/) I have checked that the toolbar images are actually in the location being looked at on the web server: Just seeing the 'red X' where the button image should be and clicking does nothing. It ' works on my machine' but when deployed to the web server the icons (Export, Print etc) on the Crystal Report toolbar do not display or work. I have built a web page which contains a Crystal Report built using the Crystal libraries included in Visual Studio 2008.
